How to use the popcorn machine

If you want to enjoy some freshly cooked popcorn while watching TV or movies in the basement, this is how.

  • Popcorn, the scoop to get out the popcorn, and buckets for eating popcorn are all in the storage area underneath the cooker.
  • Turn on the "Power" switch.  This will turn on the lights in the machine and also the warmer at the bottom of the tray.
  • Turn on the "Kettle" switch.  This will start heating up the kettle.   You'll also hear the motor running that mixes the popcorn.
  • Let the kettle warm up for 5 minutes.
  • Take one of the packs of popcorn and open it up.
  • Pour all of the oil into the kettle
  • Pour all of the salt into the kettle
  • Pour all of the popcorn into the kettle
  • Close the lid
  • The popcorn will pop and will start spilling out of the kettle.
  • Once the popcorn stops popping, you can pour all of the remaining popcorn and kernls out by grabbing the handle attached to the kettle, rotating it clockwise, and then pulling down.
  • Shake the popcorn and kernels out
  • Put the kettle back into the original position.
  • You can make more batches if you want.  If you are done making batches, turn off the "Kettle" switch.  Always turn the Kettle switch off when you are not cooking popcorn.
  • You can leave the "Power" switch on to keep the cooked popcorn warm.
  • When you are all done, turn off the Power switch as well.
