      Using the Nespresso Machine

      How to use the Nespresso machine to create tea, espresso, hot chocolate, cappuccino, and latte.

      Filling the water tank

      1. Remove the tank from the back of the machine.
      2. Remove the lid from the tank
      3. Fill the tank with water.
      4. Put the lid back on the tank.
      5. Put the tank back in the back of the machine.

      Making espresso or tea

      1. Choose the coffee or tea you want.
      2. Lift the latch on the top of the machine and put the capsule.
      3. Close the latch.
      4. Put your mug under the dispenser.
      5. Push either of the bottom two buttons to choose the size of drink you want.  
        The bottom button is for a one shot espresso. The middle button is for a two shot espresso.
        If this is the machine hasn't been used for several minutes, it will take a little while (30 seconds) to turn on. During this period the lights will flash. Once it is ready, the lights will go solid and it will make the drink.
      6. If you want to add more, push the button again once it finishes.
      7. Once done, lift the lever to capsule to eject the used capsule into the storage bin.

      Making milk-based drinks (latte, cappuccino, hot chocolate)

      You can use the machine to heat and mix in milk to make a latte, a cappuccino, or a hot chocolate.

      To make a milk drink:

      1. Fill the milk container up to one of the two marks.  The lower mark is for a cappuccino. The upper mark is for a latte.  The machine will use as much milk as you put in there.
      2. Connect the milk container to the Nespresso machine.
      3. Choose the coffee or hot chocolate you want and put the capsule in and close the latch.
      4. Place your cup/mug under the coffee outlet
      5. Point the milk dispenser to your cup/mug
      6. Press the milk button on the top of the machine (the top of the three buttons)
      7. The system will heat and pour all of the milk into the mug/cup
      8. It will then brew the coffee or hot chocolate and pour that in.
      9. Once done, lift the lever to capsule to eject the used capsule into the storage bin.

      Cleaning the machine

      Do not put any parts of the coffee machine, other than the milk dispenser, into the dishwasher. Only hand wash/soak them.

      The milk dispenser is dishwasher safe and can be disassembled and washed there.

      Cleaning out the capsule storage bin

      If the capsule storage bin fills up, pull the bin out from the left front.

      The used capsules can go into the silver can next to the machine. And the bin can be washed out with water.
